Theatre Club Chicago, Ldt., an Illinois Corporation, organizes group theater outings designed to enrich each participant's theatrical experience. Since we buy tickets in a block well in advance of the performance date, members are assured of paying less for their ticket than the general public and enjoy a prime seat location. But what really sets the club apart is our unique discussion format.
 
On performance day members attend a discussion at the theater or a nearby location. The play comes alive as an actor or performance artist familiar with the play leads the spirited dialogue. Following each play, a knowledgeable moderator leads a lively Question and Answer session. You become an insider rather than a spectator!

REGIONAL THEATER OUTINGS
 
Members are invited to travel with the club to the great stages of North America. Join us in a deluxe air-conditioned motor coach for a day trip or overnight excursion. Each trip features an on-board guide familiar with the play we're seeing. Each play will be preceded by a discussion and followed by a Q&A session. Representatives of the host theater will participate in our pre and post show activities and efforts will be made to arrange a backstage tour for a behind-the-scenes look at the performance.
 
Trip packages include transportation, guide, theater tickets, hotel where applicable, most meals and Theatre Club Chicago's unique discussion format. Overnight trips allow time for shopping and exploring the area.

Each month, Theatre Club Chicago takes its members inside the world of theater to explore a different facet of theater life. We'll learn… how actors can be so convincing in fight scenes… what is the role of a designer in a production… what is considered when staging a historical period for a classical play… what is method acting? These are but a few of the questions our Guest Speaker series will answer in depth.
